A Story From Super Me! Programs Visionary and Co-Founder—Cori Ashley
I’ve worked with thousands of children through our Super Me! Empowering programs—and one story still gives me chills.
A five-year-old girl in the Bahamas came from a tough home life. She felt lost in class and even at the tender age of 5 years old... she already felt like she was failing.
With the help of her teacher and counselor, we applied a few Super Me! strategies to help her understand the unique way she thinks and learns.
That one shift changed everything. Her confidence grew. Her learning improved. And—at just five years old—she found the courage to ask her aunt if she could live with her, (in an environment where there is more support). Quite an independent achievement for a 5 year old Super Me!
She’s now thriving in high school. The takeaway: When kids feel seen, supported, and capable, they start solving their own challenges—and success only grows and expands from there.
